Born in Baltimore, Maryland, May 19, 1931. Graduated from Old Post Road High School, Edgewood, Harford County. Attended Capital University, Columbus, Ohio. Served in U.S. Marine Corps, 1951-53. Worked in family-owned hardware and lumber business. Founder and owner, Harford Sands, 1965-80.
