Final Report to Governor due Dec. 1, 2019 (Executive Order 01.01.2017.24).
In October 2017, the Maryland Outdoor Recreation Economic Commission was formed by the Governor (Executive Order 01.01.2017.24).
The Commission is to formulate a plan and make recommendations on how to strengthen the business climate for the outdoor recreation industry in Maryland so that jobs are retained and the sector grows. Further, the Commission will develop new and innovative strategies to market Maryland's unique natural attributes and cultural heritage, while protecting those resources and boosting the rural economy.
