Annual Report to Governor & General Assembly on Barn Preservation Fund due Dec. 31 (Chapter 187, Acts of 2006).

The Maryland Advisory Committee on Historic Agricultural Structure Preservation was authorized in July 2006 (Chapter 187, Acts of 2006). The statute authorizing the Committee also established the Barn Preservation Fund within the Department of Planning. On recommendation of the Committee, the Board of Public Works may approve expenditures from the Fund in the form of grants to preserve historic barns and agricultural structures.

The Committee was to consist of ten members. Five were to be appointed to four-year terms by the Governor, and five were to serve ex officio.

Through FY2011, the Committee has not been appointed or met, nor has the Barn Preservation Fund received an appropriation.
