In July 2016, the Task Force to Study the Adult High School Concept was initiated (Chapter 244, Acts of 2016).
The Task Force was to make recommendations on how to establish and regulate adult high schools. In formulating its recommendations, the Task Force considered eligibility requirements, financial stability, and capacity standards for adult high school operators. It also considered accreditation; reporting requirements; curriculum content; matriculation requirements; funding options, including financial aid; and other relevant issues.
Authorization for the Task Force ended June 30, 2017.
